Above 14,000 feet on the high desert of the altiplano, Peru 2008

As you will note from the pictures, things have evolved in terms of what we are carrying with us on our travels.  We had always traveled with a motorcycle and our intent was to carry a bike on the back of the Tiger.  This worked out fine, except we simply could not come up with a way to carry both the bike and all the equipment we felt would be necessary for extended overseas travel; not to mention the extra clothing required for riding the bike.  So, we reluctantly abandoned the idea of having a motorcycle along, had some sturdy aluminum boxes built for the back of the Tiger, and set out.  For our South American trip, we carried two spares, but when setting up for Europe we reverted to just one spare and reconfigured the rear storage boxes to ride a bit higher and closer to the back of the coach.
